A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Mechanisms of inflammation in Health and Disease led by Dr. Alessandra Mortellaro at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget).
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to study the process of inflammation. In particular, the selected candidate will investigate the role of intracellular immune receptors in shaping immune responses under physiological and pathological conditions, such as chronic inflammatory diseases. These studies will collectively advance our understanding of inflammatory disorders and improve patients’ care.
Located in Milan (Italy), the SR-Tiget was created in 1995 as a joint venture between Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR) and Telethon Foundation with the mission to perform cutting-edge research in gene and cell therapy and to translate its results into therapeutic advances, focusing on genetic diseases. SR-Tiget is fully integrated within OSR and has dedicated infrastructures to support high-quality preclinical studies and proof-of-concept clinical trials.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Cellular, and Molecular Biology or related areas
- Solid knowledge of Immunology
- A track record of accomplishments
- Demonstrated technical independence with tissue culture, molecular and biochemical techniques, and flow cytometry
- Ability in mouse-related work is a plus
- Great aptitude in taking the initiative and working self-sufficiently on assigned tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
