ERDERA - the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance - is a major new partnership under Horizon Europe, bringing together more than 170 organizations across Europe to strengthen research on rare diseases. Its mission is to pool resources, data, and expertise to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for the nearly 30 million people living with a rare disease in Europe.

Fondazione Telethon is proud to be one of the participating organizations, contributing its long-standing experience in rare disease research and its commitment to turning discoveries into tangible patient benefits.

The alliance supports joint funding calls, clinical research, and networking activities that accelerate the path from laboratory to therapy. The first Joint Transnational Call (JTC 2025) has been launched at the end of 2024 and is dedicated to preclinical therapy studies.
